PlayStation Plus: December releases leaked

Every month, PlayStation Plus gets a makeover. Between highly anticipated arrivals and dreaded departures, subscribers have gotten into the habit of scrutinizing the movements of the catalog. If Sony generally only reveals deletions a few weeks in advance, certain recurring models make it possible to anticipate games likely to disappear. And December 2025 is no exception.

By analyzing the usual durations of contracts signed between Sony and its partners, we can already draw up a credible list of games that will leave the service by the end of the year. The fateful date seems set at December 16, 2025before 11 a.m., as is the tradition of PS Plus Extra.

A predictable turnover but not always announced

Unlike games added every month, PS Plus Extra withdrawals are often less highlighted. However, they directly impact the subscriber experience: once a title is removed, it is impossible to access it, even if it has been downloaded before.

Onboarding cycles are generally established over periods of 6 to 24 months. Some very popular titles benefit from silent renewals, but others, more confidential, disappear without return. As December approaches, it therefore becomes strategic to check which games are at risk of disappearing, so as not to let them slip by.

The 17 games under threat in December 2025

Based on past arrivals and average contract length, here is the list of games probably removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium in mid-December. This is not official information, but it is based on trends observed month after month.

  • Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus The Awakening of Golden Jazz (PS4)
  • Battlefield 2042 (PS4, PS5)
  • Chivalry 2 (PS4, PS5)
  • Clash: Artifacts of Chaos (PS4, PS5)
  • Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes (PS4, PS5)
  • Endless Dungeon Definitive Edition (PS4, PS5)

  • theHunter: Call of the Wild (PS4)
  • Train Sim World 5 (PS4, PS5)
  • We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie (PS4, PS5)

Between independent productions, blockbusters and remakes, this selection shows the diversity of the PS Plus Extra offer, but also the volatility of certain additions.

Why are these withdrawals anticipated?

Observing the monthly turnover reveals a relatively stable pattern. The oldest games to enter the catalog are often the ones that leave first. Likewise, titles which have had more confidential success or which benefit from an exclusive partnership of limited duration are often concerned.

In recent weeks, Battlefield V, Digimon Survive, Like a Dragon Ishin or even Football Manager 2024 Console have left the service, confirming that even large licenses are not spared.

The right reflex to adopt

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, it is better to anticipate. Simply go to the dedicated section of PS Plus Extra, consult the game sheets and identify those which display a withdrawal date. In the absence of an official announcement, these clues allow us to prepare.

Finally, if you’re interested in a game, take the lead: download it, launch it, and enjoy it before it disappears. Because once gone, it will not come back soon – except in exceptional cases or a surprise return in the catalog.
