The renowned anime studio PAWORKS recently released an animated music video looking back at its previous projects ahead of the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations. We summarize.
25 years of PAWORKS
Since its inception on November 10, 2000, PAWORKS has produced a variety of popular anime series. This will now apparently be properly celebrated in line with the upcoming 25th anniversary.
The company has produced an almost six-minute short film in which a girl on a bicycle rides past the anime studio’s various works in chronological order, while singer Eiko Shimamiya provides the appropriate musical accompaniment with her song “Run Run Lantern”.
The video, which you can find below these lines as usual, begins with the classic “True Tears” (2008) and shows, among others, “Angel Beats!”, “Another”, “Shirobako”, “Charlotte”, “Uma Musume”, “Ya Boy Kongming!”, “Buddy Daddies”, “Skip and Loafer” and “Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing”, before it ends with “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” in the current autumn 2025 season.
But it’s not just the anime shown that is remarkable, but also those involved in the production of the video. Studio founder and CEO Kenji Horikawa himself acted as producer, while animators Yuriko Abe, Kosuke Kawazura, Yuki Akiyama, Kazuko Amano, Yusuke Inoue and Mirai Tanaka brought the project to life. Tomomi Takada contributed the character design.
