One of Halo’s art directors leaves Halo Studios, and not necessarily on good terms

A departure against the backdrop of an ethical question?

And a departure which obviously did not go well. We extrapolate, but the tone of the ex-employee’s message on LinkedIn is tinged with disappointment, whether towards the studio or the future of the saga Halo. After working on this series for more than 17 years, he declares that he cannot dwell too much on his departure for the moment, while sending a message which questions :

As of today and after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There’s not much more I can say at the moment, although I intend to share this particular story in full when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. In the meantime, I have a message for anyone who needs to hear it. I know the state of our industry seems dire, but always remember that you are *free to choose*. No illusion of security, no promise of wealth, fame or power is worth giving up your health, your dignity, your ethics or your values – and no one can force you to. Stay strong, take evidence if necessary and find your place. »

We’ll avoid jumping to too many conclusions here, but this message sounds like Halo Studios is making a change that the art director would disagree with. We will know more in the coming months, when the person concerned will be able to communicate better on the subject.
