Japanese publisher Kodansha announced today that the romance manga “My Girlfriend’s Friend” (Japanese: “Kanojo no Tomodachi”) will soon receive an anime adaptation. You can find a picture of the announcement below.
Starting this year
The anime adaptation is a TV series that is expected to start on Japanese television later this year. The people involved in the production have not yet been named. We’ll keep you updated.
The original manga series of the same name was written by Jyura and has been published in the “YanMaga Web” magazine since May 2021. Kodansha brought the sixth anthology to Japanese retailers in October 2025.
