The Japanese animation studio Kyoto Animation announced a new anime series entitled “Sparks of Tomorrow” (Japanese: “20 Seiki Denki Mokuroku Eureka Evrika”) at a presentation today. We summarize.
Already announced in 2018
“Sparks of Tomorrow” is the anime adaptation of the novel “20th Century Electricity Catalog,” which was originally confirmed in July 2018. Broadcasting is scheduled to begin during 2026.
Minoru Oota (episode director for “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S”) is directing the series, while Tatsuhiko Urahata (“Haganai”) is writing the script. Kohei Okamura serves as chief animation director and character designer.
The main roles of the Japanese cast include Sora Amamiya (Aqua in “KonoSuba”) as Inako Momokawa and Yuuma Uchida (Tsuyoshi Mukouda in “Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill”) as Kihachi Sakamoto.
The novel on which it is based was written by Hiro Yuki and was published in August 2018 with illustrations by Kazumi Ikeda under the KA Esuma Bunko label from Kyoto Animation. The work is not available in this country.
