After the success of First Part released in 2021, Alexandre Astier returns with an even more ambitious fresco: Kaamelott – Second Partfirst part of a diptych which must conclude his Arthurian trilogy. Always at the heart of the action in the role of Arthur, Astier also wrote the screenplay, direction, editing and soundtrack. The film lasts 2h19 and features more than seventy characters from the world of the cult M6 series.
Kaamelott Second Part: what streaming release date?
Released in French theaters on October 22, 2025, Kaamelott – Second Part will not be immediately available for streaming. Due to the current media timeline, platforms must wait several months before offering a film released in theaters:
- Canal+ could broadcast it from April 2026thanks to its post-cinema broadcast agreements.
- Disney+which already offers Kaamelott – First Part in its catalog, is expected to also recover this suite. But it cannot be put online only from July 2026 at the earliest.
We will therefore have to wait several months before seeing Arthur and his knights on VOD, unless there is a change in the broadcasting rules or a temporary exclusivity on Canal+.
On which platform can we see Kaamelott 2?
At present, Disney+ remains the most likely platform for the film’s arrival. The first part is already available there, a few days before the release of the second in theaters, as revealed by AlloCiné. This catalog consistency suggests that Disney+ will continue to exploit the trilogy.
Canal+ remains another plausible option, since certain recent contracts allow much faster distribution after theatrical releases, around six months. No official announcement has yet been made by the platforms.
Rewatch the first Kaamelott film before the release of the second
For those who wish to immerse themselves again in the absurd and epic universe of Kaamelott before discovering this sequel, the First Part is available for streaming on Disney+ since October 2025.
This first film takes place ten years after the end of the series broadcast between 2005 and 2009 on M6. There we find Arthur in exile, who decides to return to overthrow Lancelot du Lac and regain the throne of Kaamelott. This return also marks a new quest, surrounded by familiar faces… and a cast enriched by figures like Christian Clavier, Alain Chabat, Guillaume Gallienne, and even Sting.
