What is Highguard?

You can now download Highguard on PC via Steam, on PS5 or on your Xbox Seriess, and find out for yourselves what the game is worth. A big presentation of the title is also taking place at the moment, and it would probably have been better to schedule it a few hours before to encourage the public to be there from the launch (but we’re not marketing experts either, so who knows).

Highguard is a PvP raid shooter in which you will have to become one with your team to better assault the enemy fortress. Two teams of three people compete in matches that can last anywhere from 8 minutes to half an hour.

Each team has its own base that must be protected (among 4 options available). These bases have unique means of defense, which means that the choice will matter.

Your goal is then to break the enemy defenses and invade their base, using a somewhat special sword that you will have to recover. and which will change place on the map. You will then have to do everything you can to make your way to the opponent’s base with the sword to start the raid. When the latter begins, you will have to sabotage certain strategic points until placing a bomb which will do great damage. The match is not lost if you suffer a raid, since defending your camp well will inflict damage on the opponent’s base.

Each character here is unique and has their own skills, both in combat and in collecting resources, but you can use any weapon. Along the way, you can find other weapons and armor to improve your build. You will also have to collect resources (on the map or by killing enemies) in order to have access to a store for a better arsenal. Highguard also has the particularity of offering mounts to move between the bases and provide a little more dynamism.
