Free-to-play and shooters on the roof of the world
As usual, Steam highlights 100 games in four categories (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) to provide an overview of the titles that helped print the most greenbacks this year. We will be particularly interested in the Platinum category, which represents the 12 highest-earning games of 2025, in no particular order. Here is the list of the 12 games that generated the most money on Steam in 2025 :
Once again, quite a few shooters in the list, with some curious games like REPO and Schedule 1 which stand out thanks to excellent word of mouth and the fact of having been very featured on Twitch.
Among the notable games released this year, we find Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 in the Gold category (therefore in the 24 most profitable games), in the same way as Split Fiction And Elden Ring: Nightreignthree games having the common point of being sold for around forty euros, which is therefore an excellent performance in this ranking. Kingdom Come Deliverance II is also in this category, just like the remaster ofOblivionwhile silk song is “only” in the Silver category (the top 50), probably because of its even lower entry price.
