Publisher peppermint anime today announced new details about the disc release of the original series “Girls Band Cry”. We summarize.
Release from August 2026
The first Blu-ray volume, which includes the first six episodes with German dubbing and in the original sound with subtitles, is expected to be available from August 7, 2026 as a standard edition and as a limited edition with a collector’s slipcase.
According to current plans, the second volume will appear in stores on October 2, 2026. Pre-ordering is already possible in the AKIBA PASS SHOP. The early bird phase, where you get up to 12% discount, runs until April 26, 2026.
The studio Toei Animation was responsible for the production of the anime, which was broadcast on Japanese television from April to June 2024 and is now available on Crunchyroll, and was directed by Kazuo Sakai (“Love Live! Sunshine!!”). A new film for the series is currently in the works.
