A few days before the arrival of Pope Leo XIV in Barcelona to bless the tower of Jesus Christ of the Sagrada Familia, Lego unveiled its own version of the monument: a basilica of 12,060 pieces. This new set LEGO Architecture becomes the largest model ever marketed by the brand.
Behind this figure, Lego is clearly targeting adults: an 18+ set designed for those who want to install a piece of Barcelona in their living room. At 62 centimeters high, 47 wide and 39 deep, the model requires space, but also time, which the brand estimates at several dozen hours.
LEGO Sagrada Família: how does this 12,060-piece set beat all records?
With its 12,060 bricks, the set referenced 21065 dethrones the World Map and its 11,695 pieces to become the new absolute record for Lego. It also dwarfs the giants that are the Titanic and the Eiffel Tower, while remaining in a format of approximately 62 centimeters high once assembly is complete.
Officially rated 18+, this behemoth would require between 25 and 35 hours of assembly depending on the experience of the builder. The price follows: at around 6 cents per piece, we go well beyond the simple toy to become a collector’s item, designed to be exhibited as well as constructed.

What does this LEGO Sagrada Família change for fans before the pope comes?
There is nothing innocent about the calendar. In 2026, the real Sagrada Familia has just topped its tower of Jesus Christ with a 17 meter cross, bringing the building to nearly 172.5 meters and making it the tallest church in the world. On June 10, one hundred years after the death of Antoni GaudiPope Leo XIV must celebrate a solemn mass there.
By opening pre-orders on June 4, 2026, Lego therefore aligns with this highly publicized sequence. For fans, this set becomes a miniature pilgrimage: at home, they follow the progress of the real construction site, from the crypt to the facades of the Nativity and the Passion, up to the complete silhouette of the basilica completed in bricks.

On the practical side, the set LEGO Architecture Sagrada Família will be sold for 749.99 euros, or approximately $799.99, with a general release set for November 1, 2026 on Lego.com and in the Lego Stores. Pre-orders already open target builders ready to reserve their weekends and an entire piece of furniture to accommodate this 47 by 39 centimeter block.
The model incorporates an opening interior and extensive work on the stained glass windows, using transparent pieces which imitate the colored light of the real church.
