Fortnite believes very very strongly in its Chapter Seven

The hype is slowly building as we approach the Zero Hour event in Fortnite. While an official countdown is now displayed in the central square of Springfield, the game’s official accounts have been providing crucial information for several days on what is happening in the Battle Royale, with finally a big look back at the History of the game and in particular of the Seven, this mysterious small group that appeared many times, notably in the first chapters of the game. It is not for nothing that this next chapter is not numbered but entitled “Seven” in reference to our mysterious visitors.

Zero Hour is approaching

Before tackling Chapter Seven and its first information, let’s recall some details about the Zero Hour event that awaits us soon: the opening of the doors is scheduled for Saturday November 29 at 7:20 p.m. in a game mode that will be dedicated to him. The event will begin at 8 p.m. sharp for a duration still unknown. As usual, a time-out should take place following the event to offer us Chapter Seven the next morning. As usual, we will not fail to introduce you to all the new features from Sunday.

Little information has leaked regarding this event, but the game’s official accounts shared this Thursday the brand new cinematic trailer showing us many of the titans from old seasons, as well as the return of the Hope/Jones duo to once again attempt to stabilize realities, as evidenced by the official summary: “The clash of heroes, villains and worlds comes to fruition in the final confrontation to save all of reality. »

We also notice a character on a motorcycle: Kill Bill. The fruit of a new collaboration? The presence of Quentin Tarantino at the IRL event organized in Los Angeles for a selection of hand-picked streamers to preview Chapter Seven finally spilled the beans, so much so that Fortnite seems to announce that Kill Bill would be one of the central characters of Season 1 of Chapter Sevenprobably in the battle pass. However, it is difficult at this time to validate or not the name of the season in relation to this visual.

With all this teasing and such an early announcement, Fortnite is probably preparing one of the most major events in its historyand knows its weaknesses: the resistance of the servers. It’s not uncommon to see matchmaking lose its footing during these kinds of live events, which is why developers resort to test phases to assess server resistance. This Thursday November 20 and Friday November 21 at 7:40 p.m.you can find a dedicated menu in the main menu to participate in a stress test. Small gift: participating in these tests will allow you to obtain 80,000 EXP which is the equivalent of one level of the battle pass.

Any big new features in Chapter Seven?

After its story based on the Seven, there is no doubt that Fortnite impatiently awaited the arrival of this chapter to answer many of the questions of the most dedicated players. A first season which, according to rumors from leakers, would be partly dedicated to America, with diverse biomes ranging from a desert like Nevada to large urban areas, as we could see in the first extracts officially revealed recently.

In the meantime, life goes on in other modes

You know it well, Fortnite has become a somewhat catch-all super-experience that brings together a ton of collaborations, maps created by the community, but also more or less popular game modes.

While the season dedicated to The Simpsons is still in full swing for around ten days (with a new mini-episode having brought in clones of Homer before the arrival of a giant Homer next week), Blitz mode is also updated on November 21 with a new map dedicated to the phenomenon Stranger Thingswith of course brand new skins inspired by the group’s characters and Vecna.

Once again, Fortnite therefore strengthens its influence in the field of the metaverse and the service game par “excellence” with a community that is still present and engaged. The future collaborations mentioned (namely Back to the Future or even Spongebob) will not stem the steamroller of pop culture from Epic Games’ Battle Royale. Remember that the game has now been available on Xbox PC for a few days with the Fortnite Club subscription now included in your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
