Netflix is continuing to expand its anime catalog and will be making the first season of “Shangri-La Frontier” available for streaming starting next month. We summarize.
From May 1, 2026
The first season of “Shangri-La Frontier” can currently be viewed on Netflix from May 1, 2026. It has not yet been confirmed whether the German dubbing will be offered in addition to the original version.
The C2C studio was responsible for the production of a total of 25 episodes, which ran on Japanese television from October 2023 to March 2024, and was directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka (“Wandering Witch: Elaina’s Journey”). A 25-part second season followed from October 2024 to March 2025.
The video-on-demand service Crunchyroll already offers both seasons with German and Japanese language versions and has also released them on DVD and Blu-ray. A third season is planned for January 2027.
