Two opposing camps

The rumors and movements of Point Zero in recent days have already announced it: the snowy biome to the north of the map should expand for this new season, with the appearance ofa biome entirely dedicated to the Ice King’s Castlea major antagonist of the first seasons of Fortnitewhich made its comeback in Fortnite OG in recent weeks and which is preparing to return to the forefront in this season 2. It is in this foggy atmosphere that the latest trailer begins, serving as an official trailer rich in information.

A trailer that allows us to validate the return of Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, under the guise of The Foundationwhile he will wake up from cryogenics carried out by the Ice King. The confrontation between the two enemies will take an important part of Season 2 since we will have to choose between the two camps, even though the Dream Institute also seems to be back. Apparently, Rivals will then be designated for us and we will have to take them down as a priority to win the game, but we will know more tomorrow during the launch.

What’s up doctor?

A presentation video which allows us to have a first glimpse of the weapons and gadgets of this new season, including a portable zip line to unfold wherever we want. But the trailer also allows us to notice the first cosmetics (in the store or in the battle pass, this will have to be checked), including in particular the presence of two Looney Tunes figures, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The two animated heroes perfectly represent this notion of Rivalry highlighted this season and once again recall the strength of the liner Fortnite regarding the metaverse, with the added bonus of the presence of the official VF for these two icons.

Before the publication of this new video, Epic Games had highlighted a trailer made with live shots, aping the starting island from which the heroes take action with a presentation made by the “manager” of this island. A video which will have caused a mini bad buzz in the process, with the presence of images representing italians brainrotsthese strange creations of the internet linked to artificial intelligence.

A little recap?

Let’s take a look at the story of Chapter 7. The last days of Season 1 saw three portals appear on the island linked to Point Zero activated by the Black Traveler. These three portals should greatly transform the map in these specific locations, notably with the arrival of the Ice King’s Castle, as we said above.
