Cyberpunk 2077 has never been a game that went unnoticed graphically. Since its release in 2020, it has often been praised for the richness of its universe and the visual power of Night City. However, one fan decided to go even further by using hundreds of mods to give the game an absolutely spectacular unofficial visual remaster.
The YouTuber Digital Dreams embarked on a crazy project: applying more 300 mods to Cyberpunk 2077 to offer it a rendering worthy of the most advanced titles of 2026. The result posted on its YouTube channel shows lights, textures and details that seem to push the game well beyond what was initially possible on PC.
A city and effects that push the graphic limits
In the video released by Digital Dreams, Night City appears almost like a next-generation city, with natural light streaming from every corner, incredibly detailed reflective surfaces, and vehicles that look like they came straight out of a futuristic movie. The realism of each texture is such that you really feel like you can touch the surfaces on the screen.
This type of rendering is not limited to a simple cosmetic effect. Mods profoundly modify lighting effects, shadows, reflections, scenery density and surface behavior, providing a visual experience that transcends that of the original game.
Extreme hardware configuration required
However, this graphic beauty doesn’t come free. To get an experience close to the one shown in the video, it’s not enough to add a few mods: you also need a machine capable of taking full advantage of them. The configuration used by Digital Dreams is worthy of a professional rendering station:
- RTX 5090 graphics card
- 64 GB of RAM
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor
This is one of the most powerful PC configurations available on the market today, making this level of visual quality inaccessible to the majority of gamers. With the global crisis in components, particularly RAM, and the rise in prices of high-end parts, assembling such a PC represents a significant investment.
Spectacular mods… but superfluous to play
Even Digital Dreams itself admits: these remasters are not designed to be played under normal conditions. Rather, they are made to be shown and appreciated visually. For most players, the base version of Cyberpunk 2077 remains impressive, and it’s this version that will continue to be played seriously.
So while these mods offer a fascinating glimpse into what Cyberpunk 2077 could be graphically, they remain primarily entertainment for modding enthusiasts and curious onlookers, rather than a much-needed evolution of the game.
