The cheat does not wait for the official exit to strike, and neither do Activision. Barely launched, the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is already the scene of a wave of banishments, aimed at those who try to sabotage the multiplayer experience.
Since October 2, several videos have been circulating online, showing players using illicit tips like the Wallhack and the Aimbot to dominate their opponents. Streamer Stodeh notably relayed a sequence where a player is accused in the cat of cheating since “time 0”, while his team is literally crushed. Hatetoseemecoming user has published an impressive video where we see a cheater chaining the eliminations thanks to automatic aiming software.
Activision already applies the promised sanctions
Faced with this evidence, Activision was quick to react. In response to Stodeh’s video, the Call of Duty Updates account confirmed that the system had “intercepted this account” and that it had been “banned”. Other users, including Hatetoseemecoming, should undergo the same fate according to information relayed to Dexerto. The publisher thus shows that he will not leave any room for maneuver for cheaters, even during the test phase.
This policy is based on Ricochet, the anti-tricke system integrated for several generations of Call of Duty. But for Black Ops 7, Activision promises even more robust measures, supposed to identify suspicious behavior earlier and more efficiently. The first sanctions show that this strengthening is already underway.
Towards a launch under close surveillance
Black Ops 7 is expected on November 14, 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | s. Until then, the beta remains accessible in early access, before a wider opening in the coming days. But beware of those who try to get around the rules: detection tools are already activated, and immediate banishments.
If the presence of cheaters from beta can worry, it also allows the ricochet test team to refine its settings before the official launch. An assumed defensive strategy, with a clear message: whether during the beta or after the exit, cheaters no longer have their place in the universe of Call of Duty.
