Borderlands 4: a new free SHiFT code unlocks an exclusive outfit for Vex

Borderlands 4 fans can add a new free reward to their collection. Gearbox has just activated a SHiFT code to unlock an exclusive skin for Vex, the famous Vault Hunter. This surprise gift comes after the success of the latest community challenge, which saw the community shatter the goals set during the “Death 4 All” event.

As is often the case with the Borderlands license, this new skin is linked to an original animation. Entitled “Mass Market Appeal”, it takes the style of Vex in the video Purple Fridaywhile retaining her iconic Huntress outfit. The skin stands out with a yellow and purple color palette, inspired by its origins, with a unique rendering on the battlefield.

An exploded community challenge, an immediate reward

The challenge launched by Gearbox last weekend was to collectively destroy 1.8 million drilling sites on the planet Kairos, playing exclusively as Vex. The community didn’t just meet the goal: they exceeded it with an impressive score of 2,333,013 destruction recorded.

To thank players for their commitment, Gearbox has activated a SHiFT code that can be used now, on all platforms. Simply log in to your account and enter this code to unlock the skin immediately in your inventory.

The skin stays true to Vex’s classic appearance, while incorporating visual elements from the video Purple Friday. The work clothes seen in the cinematic give way to a more combat-ready version, perfect for fans of customization.

Other new features on the way for Borderlands 4

This new free content is part of a busy schedule for Borderlands 4. Gearbox is already preparing several major events. By the end of October, players will be able to experience “The Horrors of Kairos”a special event with Halloween accents, while November will mark the arrival of first Bounty Pack : How Rush Saved Mercenary’s Day.

This update will feature a short story campaign, new cosmetics, new equipment and additional narrative content.

At the same time, a important balance update is planned for the October 16. It will tackle some unanticipated interactions of the very popular build “Infinite Bleed” from Vex, which offers formidable effectiveness in the hands of experienced players. After a first patch which reinforced underperforming skills, this new version aims to correct abuses while maintaining the strategic interest of each character.
