Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 is quickly approaching. Activision has released the full roadmap for the game’s next major update, which is scheduled to roll out on March 11, 2026.
This new season promises a major wave of content for all modes of the game. Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone and Endgame will each receive several new features, with new maps, weapons and gameplay mechanics.
Multiplayer: five new maps and new modes
Multiplayer remains at the heart of the Black Ops 7 experience and Season 2 will significantly enrich its content. From the launch of the season, five new cards will appear in the game rotation. Among them are Firing Range, an iconic map from the Black Ops series, as well as a revisited version of Yemen, known to Black Ops 2 players.
Two new game modes are also planned to renew the multiplayer experience. At the same time, a new series of eliminations called Lock Shot will be introduced in this update. This new equipment should allow players to strengthen their strategic arsenal during games.
A new Zombies map with Paradox Junction
Zombies mode will also receive a major update with the arrival of a new map. Players will be able to explore Paradox Junction, a new area that introduces a new main quest as well as several new enemies. The clashes will remain based on the traditional wave system of Zombies mode, with increasingly powerful hordes of enemies.
The Blundergat artifact will also make a return this season. It can be upgraded to become the Sundergat, an even more powerful version capable of triggering special attacks. These abilities include an attack called Charged Purge, as well as an Exile beam capable of eliminating multiple zombies at once.
Warzone welcomes the new Black Ops Royale mode
Season 2 will also introduce a new mode to Warzone. Called Black Ops Royale, this mode is inspired by Blackout from Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Players will have to adapt their strategy because the game mechanics differ from those of classic Warzone mode. This new mode should bring an experience closer to the spirit of the Black Ops series. This is also one of the major additions to this season’s roadmap.
New weapons and seasonal events
Season 2 of Black Ops 7 will also bring several new features common to all game modes. Two new weapons will be introduced in this update: an assault rifle and a marksman-type sniper rifle. These weapons can be used in all modes of the game. The season will also include several temporary events that will take place throughout the weeks following launch.
As with each season of Call of Duty, the in-game store will also offer new bundles and cosmetic items for players. With the arrival of this new season on March 11, Black Ops 7 is preparing to welcome a major update which should renew the gaming experience in most of its modes.
