Game Pass obviously comes into play
We still don’t know how many copies Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 sold, but we could see that on Steam, the game was struggling to attract crowds. We now have more indicators of this thanks to figures provided by the Game Sales Data institute, which analyzes the European market (reported by The Game Business).
According to the first figures collected on our continent, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 does half as well as Black Ops 6and above all recorded sales 63% lower than those of Battlefield 6 (on a launch week). Obviously, the comparison with the Electronic Arts game is a little distorted in that Black Ops 7 was released directly to Xbox Game Pass. Still, these results show a decline for the license in general, which can perhaps not only be explained by Game Pass.
Despite everything, in the week which ended on November 16, the game logically remains the first in sales. Here is the ranking of the 10 best sellers in Europe this week (excluding Nintendo digital sales):
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Year 117: Pax Romana
- EA Sports FC 26
- Battlefield 6
- Pokémon Legends:ZA
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Ghost of Yotei
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
