Before TV broadcast: First “Dragon Ball” series started on Joyn

Even before ProSieben MAXX brings the first “Dragon Ball” series back to its program in over 10 years in a few days, it started today on the streaming service Joyn. We summarize the details below.

Free in German

The first three episodes of “Dragon Ball” can now be viewed free of charge in the original TV version with German dubbing on Joyn. Further episodes are available from Monday to Friday in the evening.

How long the individual episodes will be available on demand is currently unknown. The weekday TV broadcast starts on November 26, 2025 at 6:05 p.m. on ProSieben MAXX.

The free TV channel last had the series in its program from January 2014 to June 2015, before it was broadcast on RTL ZWEI between April 2023 and December 2024 – but with several interruptions and only up to episode 127 of 153.

“Dragon Ball” is based on the original manga of the same name by Akira Toriyama, which is available in this country from Carlsen Verlag with a German translation. The anime adaptation was released on DVD and Blu-ray by Crunchyroll.
