Battlefield 6: the Battle Royale is revealed by a massive leak before its launch

While Battlefield 6 has officially started its season 1, a mystery still looms: that of its Battle Royale mode, announced but still absent from official communications from EA. However, the latest leak signed Shaun Webera leaker well known for having anticipated the closure of XDefiantleaves little room for doubt: the launch would take place October 28and the content seems as rich as it is ambitious.

From the first lines of the leak relayed on X (formerly Twitter), Weber announces the color: Battlefield 6 will not be satisfied with a mode like Warzone or Fortnite, but will offer five distinct modes upon launch. Among them, the classics Solos, Duos, Trios and Quadsbut also an original mode called Gauntlet.

An elimination “Gauntlet” mode, unique for the genre

According to the details revealed, the mode Gauntlet puts squads into competition who must complete successive missionslike a test tournament. At each stage, the team with the lowest score is eliminateduntil only one remains.

An idea that could appeal to competitive players tired of the usual “loot & camp”.

The deadly circle: a radical mechanic

The other particularity revealed by the leak concerns the famous storm zone. Unlike its competitors who leave room for error for players caught in gas or fire, Battlefield 6 opts for a version instantly lethal : “the deadliest circle in Battle Royale”, according to the terms used by EA during a previous internal test in Battlefield Labs.

This mechanic could transform the usual dynamics of endgames, making risk-taking more perilous and the end of zones much more tense.

A local chat to spice up the action

Another innovation highlighted by Weber: the presence of a proximity voice chat. Players will be able to communicate, insult each other or negotiate… provided they are close enough in the game. This system, already popular in Rust Or Warzone 2is known for generating unpredictable situations, often funny or tense. It could well become a strategic tool or a death trap, depending on who is listening.

This point was indirectly validated by ModernWarzoneanother reputable source on the FPS scene, who reacted to the leak with an ambiguous gif: “Well, there it is.”

A discreet but massive launch from October 28?

Officially, EA has still not dated the launch of its Battle Royale, nor integrated this mode into the roadmap for season 1. However, the leak agrees with the already known schedule: the season 1 starts October 28and two more updates are planned for November 18 and December 9.

It is therefore very likely that the Battle Royale will be quietly activated on launch dayor during a surprise event, as the publisher has already done on other titles.

Battlefield wants its revenge on the Battle Royale field

With this more tactical, more punitive approach, and centered on squad play, Battlefield 6 seems to want to distance itself from the Call of Duty model, often criticized for its superficiality. By integrating its historical markers – vehicles, destruction, classes and coordination – the EA title could well reconnect with an audience looking for something new in a saturated genre.
