Season 2 of Battlefield 6 has barely started when Electronic Arts is already deploying its first patch. Available today on PS5, Xbox and PC, update 1.2.1.5 mainly aims to correct several issues that have appeared since the launch of the new season. No new content is planned, but stability is clearly a priority.
After the introduction of new features with Season 2, some players reported crashes and various malfunctions. This minor patch therefore acts as a maintenance operation intended to stabilize the multiplayer experience.
Battlefield 6 update 1.2.1.5, stability priority
Electronic Arts specifies that this update is above all technical. No balance adjustments or meta changes have been introduced.
- Fixed a crash that could occur during camera behavior transitions
- Additional stability improvements to reduce client crashes
- Fixed an issue preventing the use of a weapon after a revive with mask equipped
- Restoration of items missing from inventories, notably those from the Bountiful Harvest, Pax Vanguard and Devil Dogs packs
RedSec and Battle Royale also benefit from adjustments
RedSec mode, the free Battle Royale version of Battlefield 6, also receives several fixes. A bug allowed the Tracking Pulse Recon trait to activate when destroying any deployable gadget in Battle Royale. This issue has been resolved.
In Battle Royale Duos mode, an issue prevented pings from being displayed correctly in the elimination feed. Again, the correction is now active. A crash related to zone validation checks in Portal has also been fixed.
User interface and display, discreet but useful improvements
- Fixed an issue where the Tier Skip link in the Bulletin redirected to an empty store
- Improved main menu tile loading times
- Fixed incorrect display of Battle Pass rewards
The spawn logic on maps has also been adjusted to avoid unintentional spawns in non-combat areas.
Battlefield 6 season 2, a patch without shaking up the meta
Unlike major updates that change weapon balance or introduce new content, version 1.2.1.5 remains intentionally limited. No weapons have been changed, no damage or fire rate adjustments have been announced. The aim is clearly to strengthen stability and improve the overall experience after the launch of Season 2. Players can download the update now on all compatible platforms.
