New animations, secrets and new challenge
The heart of this update lies in the gameplay renewal. Ubisoft has added more brutal and spectacular finishing moves for both playable characters. “Hello everyone, tomorrow, December 16th, we will be rolling out Assassin’s Creed Shadows update 1.1.7 at 2:00 p.m. UTC / 9:00 a.m. EST / 6:00 a.m. PST on most platforms.”
Another addition: a mysterious rift in the Animus, which players will have to explore through puzzles and digital plans. A brand new mode called “Challenge” is also appearing via the Animus Hub. It will unlock a Bo staff, a dress, a hood and a jewel. Finally, access to the chest is now available through the Animus menu, with new resources to exchange for gold or mastery points.
Technical fixes and general improvements
Ubisoft also took advantage of the patch to correct numerous bugs reported by the community. The patch notes list fixes across the board:
- User interface
- Graphics
- Gameplay
- Online store
Players will note in particular the disappearance of a bug linked to certain knowledge objects, as well as the addition of multiple engravings on certain weapons. Everything is part of a desire to offer a more fluid and stable experience.
