Fans ofAssassin’s Creed Mirage will soon find Basim in a new completely free adventure. Ubisoft has just announced “Valley of Memory”an extension that will be released on November 18, 2025 on all platforms. Developed by Ubisoft Paris And Ubisoft Bordeauxthis free content promises to be a tribute to the historical richness of the Arab world and to the spirit of the first parts of the series.
The story takes place shortly before the end of the main game and lifts the veil on a little-known part of Basim’s past: his relationship with his missing father, Ishaq. This time, the adventure leads the Assassin to AlUlaan ancient Saudi city known for its spectacular archaeological sites, recreated in-game based on field studies conducted with local historians and experts.
A new map and new mechanics
Ubisoft summarizes the storyline as follows: “Taking place before the finale of the main adventure, The Valley of Remembrance begins when Basim learns that his long-lost father may still be alive in AlUla. Basim decides to go on an adventure to see if the rumors are true, but he discovers that the AlUla Valley is threatened by a dangerous band of bandits and that his father has disappeared.
There Valley of Remembrance will propose:
- A new region fully explorable, with its oases and desert ruins
- A new main quest
- News assassination targets
- Of the secondary contracts And parkour challenges
- A musical mini-game where Basim can play oud by finding hidden partitions
Ubisoft also promises a revisited approach to its infiltration missions: “Valley of Memory also offers a unique twist on the classic Assassin’s Creed black box missions, but you’ll have to discover it for yourself. »
A free DLC… but with debated origins
The free nature of the extension surprises as much as it intrigues. According to several industry sources, “Valley of Memory” would have been developed in parallel with a partnership between Ubisoft and the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF)eager to promote the country’s culture through video games. If this collaboration raises some debates, it nevertheless makes it possible to offer players a complete content at no extra costa fact that has become rare in the current AAA landscape.
