Netflix announces three new “My Happy Marriage” episodes

Streaming service Netflix announced today that the previously announced sequel to “My Happy Marriage” will be a three-part special. We summarize.

Premiere next year

»My Happy Marriage: Special Edition« consists of three episodes and will be shown on Japanese television and released worldwide exclusively on Netflix over the next year. A specific date is currently pending.

The studio Kinema Citrus remains responsible for the production, with Takehiro Kubota (assistant director on “ID: INVADED”) once again directing and writing the script together with Mika Tanaka and Ikuho Negi.

The previous two seasons, which total 26 episodes, are already available on Netflix with German and Japanese voiceovers. The TV broadcast in Japan took place between July 2023 and April 2025.

The original light novel series of the same name by Akumi Agitogi is being marketed in this country by Altraverse with a German translation.
