A new trailer for the second film was released today on the official X account of “My Reincarnation as a Slime in Another World” (Japanese: “Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken”), which you can watch below.
Cinema release in February 2026
The new film entitled “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea” opens in Japanese cinemas on February 27, 2026. Crunchyroll has secured the license for the film and will release it in cinemas in Germany, Austria and Switzerland at an as yet undisclosed date.
The studio 8-Bit is once again responsible for the production, with Yasuhito Kikuchi directing, as in the associated series, and also writing the script together with Toshizou Nemoto. The character design is again provided by Ryouma Ebata and the theme song “Utopia” comes from TRUE.
The “TenSura” series, which now consists of three seasons, as well as the first film entitled “Feuerrote Gange” are already available on demand on Crunchyroll. A fourth season is in the works, but has no date yet.
