This weekend, the Wild Zone 2025 global event is shaking up Pokémon GO with the arrival of seven new chromatic Pokémon. Between wild spawns, 5 km eggs and exclusives for paid tickets, players will have to redouble their efforts to complete their collection. Here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss anything.
The global version of this major annual Pokémon GO event runs from November 15 to 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time each day. With this event, Niantic is allowing the introduction of several new chromatic Pokémon into the game, including the highly anticipated Impidimp, Hatenna and Unown W. A rare opportunity that makes this event essential for trainers around the world.
What Shiny Pokémon are available for the first time?
Seven Shiny Pokémon are officially added to the game during this event:
- Impidimp
- Morgrem
- Grimmsnarl
- Hatenna
- Hattrem
- Hatterene
- Zarbi W
Impidimp and its evolutions are also making their debut in Pokémon GO. They will appear in the wild throughout the event, with a boosted appearance rate for players with the paid ticket. Impidimp will also be able to hatch from 5 km eggs.
For its part, Hatenna will be visible during the Fairy-type hour, while Hattrem can only be obtained via the evolution of Hatenna with 25 candies. As for Hatterene, it can be captured in the wild, but only as a Powerful Pokémon and through the use of Incense.
Unown W: an exclusivity reserved for paying players
One of the highlights – but also the most controversial – of the event concerns Unown W. This Pokémon is not listed among the Pokémon available for other aspects of the event. It will only appear via Incense for players who have purchased a paid ticket, alongside the already known chromatic Unown (D, I and L).
Trainers who do not have a paid ticket for the Wild Zone 2025 event may not be able to meet him. This means that you will have to consider a post-event exchange to obtain it. This operation fuels some frustration in the community, but remains consistent with Niantic’s usual strategy for these special events.
How to optimize your hunting this weekend?
To maximize your chances, it is advisable to play during the specific times allocated to Dark and Fairy types, because Impidimp, Hatenna and their evolutions will be more frequent there. Using Incense is also recommended, especially if you have a paid ticket, in order to attract Hatterene and Unown W. Finally, for those aiming for Chromatic Grimmsnarl, the Gigamax boss could be an opportunity not to be missed.
Whether you’re an avid or casual player, this weekend is shaping up to be one of the most intense times of the year in Pokémon GO for all Shiny Pokémon fans.
