Battlefied or Battleroyale?
Acronym for Redacted Sector, Battlefield REDSEC seems to be banking on a full-fledged Battle Royale formula, rather than a simple mode integrated into Battlefield 6. If we are to believe the leaks before the release of the game (which were subsequently confirmed), Battlefield REDSEC is the last cog in EA’s ambitious project to attract a large audience to its franchise. One hundred million players targeted according to sources at the time.
Although little information is available at this time, everything should be revealed tomorrow at 4 p.m. with the release of the launch trailer. There is also a good chance that the game will be deployed simultaneously on the same platforms as Battlefield 6. This launch of REDSEC will also coincide with the kickoff of Season 1 of Battlefield 6, also scheduled for October 28, and which will offer content spread over three waves, from the end of October until December.
While waiting for the gameplay trailer, everything suggests that Battlefield REDSEC will use the classic Battle Royale codes: a drop over a large area, the extraction of equipment, the elimination of opponents, and a competitive loop in a squad or solo. The big question will be what Battlefield-specific mechanics will be integrated: a class system, vehicles, or even large-scale destruction?
Get ready.

Even if Battlefield 6 enjoys great popularity and good feedback, it will not be easy for REDSEC to find a place, despite the weight of the brand. If the formula manages to stand out while capitalizing on the Battlefield identity, there is a chance that the proposition will appeal.
