Pokémon Legends ZA starts well in Europe, but has the smallest launch since Pokémon Let’s Go

First in sales, but more measured performance on the scale of the saga

We already know that Pokémon Legends ZA does less well than its predecessor, Pokémon Legends Arceuswhich is also reflected in the European results of The Pokémon Company’s game.

The Game Business relies on the figures collected Game Sales Data to take stock of the game’s performance on European territory, and it is clear that if Pokémon Legends ZA is logically at the top of the week’s salesand this even without needing to count digital sales (never communicated by Nintendo), this episode performs below Pokémon Legends Arceus by 28%.

Who knows if it makes up a lot of money on dematerialized sales or not, but the institute estimates that this is the weakest start for a game Pokémon “main” (without the spin-offs) since the two games Pokémon Let’s Goreleased in 2018 (still in Europe). With 5.8 million sales worldwide, The Pokémon Company has quite a few greenbacks to wipe away its tears anyway, especially since the title sold well on Switch 2 in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom where this version is the best-selling of the two.

Here is the ranking of the best game sales for the week of October 13 to 19 in Europe (without Nintendo’s digital sales):

  1. Pokémon Legends:ZA
  2. Battlefield 6
  3. EA Sports FC 26
  4. Hogwarts Legacy
  5. Ghost of Yotei
  6. Red Dead Redemption 2
  7. Grand Theft Auto 5
  8. Little Nightmares 3
  9. Borderlands 4
  10. Mario Kart World
