The broadcast is expected to continue until December
While we thought it would close in November, Game One will finally have a few more days to say goodbye to its audience. The historic channel should go on air in December according to Le Monde, instead of Novembersomething that Marcus, emblematic presenter of the channel, learns via the newspaper:
“ When you learn from Le Monde that Paramount/Skydance, after having squirmed its ass for weeks with a “PROJECT to cease activity” finally officially announces to its 8 employees the closure of Game One, the channel for which you have worked for 27 years, without even having officially informed you, nor the rest of the team… that’s probably what we call “American class”. »
The article specifies that Philippe Larribau-Lavigne, general manager of Paramount France, informed people working within the chain of the closure on October 21, but details may have been omitted.
Game One is not the only channel affected by this decision, given that J-One, MTV Hits, BET, and Paramount Network will also be disconnected, thus affecting 60 stations, including 8 at Game One. Contacted by Le Monde, Paramount did not want to add any further comments.
