Football Manager 26 will finally be entitled to the official FIFA license just before the next World Cup

A strong argument for the next episode

Right in time for the 2026 World Cup, Sports Interactive and FIFA announce a new partnership that will add official licenses within Football Manager 26. Which means that the World Cup license will be present, just like the Women’s World Cup. The 48 participating teams will therefore be properly integrated into the game.

A major announcement for this episode, as commented by Miles Jacobson, director of Football Manager 26 :

The announcement of this partnership with FIFA is a historic moment for the studio. With the World Cup approaching, it was crucial to rethink the international management module and make it a much more feature-rich module for our players. It’s a real honor to be able to do this with the support of FIFA, through an official license, by providing us with the graphics and jerseys of the in-game competition. We are delighted that our fans will be able to enjoy it next year. And this is just the beginning of our collaboration; stay tuned for more in 2026 and beyond. »

The update is planned for next June, alongside the competition. Football Manager 26 will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox consoles in addition to mobiles on November 4, then December 4 on Switch.
