During a limited event, Steam offers nine completely free downloads to all its users. Unlike the usual offers, this time it is neither complete games nor demos: these contents are digital stickers to add to your profile.
The operation takes place through the Steam discovery queue, a tool often ignored but which analyzes your purchase preferences to suggest games. By sailing in this queue, users can unlock three stickers each time, to obtain a total of new.
A simple system accessible to everyone via the discovery queue
To participate, simply access the page of the Discovery File from your Steam account. By using it three times, you collect three stickers with each passage, which allows you to recover all the nine stickers offered.
These awards are accompanied by other bonuses available via the Steam Point store, where you can exchange your credits for additional personalization items. Even if these stickers have no market value, they remain prized by collectors.
Valve did not specify an exact date for the end of the event, but indicates that the stickers will remain available throughout the fall. Once the winter has started, they will no longer be accessible.
Why still attracts users
Even if Steam stickers do not replace the cards to be exchanged from yesteryear, some players find it a special appeal. They make it possible to visually enrich your profile, and participate in the community and personalized aspect of the platform.
While other platforms such as Epic Games Store continue to offer more ambitious titles, Valve put here on the loyalty of its community with free cosmetic elements. For lovers of digital collections, this is an opportunity not to be missed before the offer disappears in a few weeks.
