Through listings on Amazon, JPC and AKIBA PASS it was announced that Crunchyroll will soon be releasing the first season of “The Apothecary Diaries” in a limited steelbook edition. You can find two product images below.
Release in September 2026
The steelbook includes all 24 episodes of the first season on Blu-ray and is expected to go on sale on September 4, 2026. As an extra there are 24 mini-episodes, two art cards, trailers and the clean opening and ending.
The studios OLM and TOHO animation STUDIO were responsible for the production of the first season, which first ran on Japanese television from October 2023 to March 2024, and was directed by Norihiro Naganuma (episode director for “Aoashi”). A first disc release took place in 2025 in four volumes.
The anime adaptation of “The Apothecary Diaries” currently includes two seasons, which are available on demand on Crunchyroll. A third season and a film that will start in Japan on December 11, 2026 are already in the works.
