Although it will still be a while until the third season of the live-action adaptation of “One Piece” is released, Netflix has already shared positive news with fans today. We summarize.
Third season from 2027
In a social media post, the VoD service announced that filming on the new episodes has now been completely completed. Now the series is expected to go into extensive post-production, in which, among other things, editing, visual effects and the soundtrack will be completed.
It could be some time before a date is officially announced. So far, Netflix has only confirmed that the third season, entitled “One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta,” will be released in 2027. A specific date is currently pending. We’ll keep you updated.
The first two seasons each have eight episodes and have been available on demand with German and Japanese voice acting since August 2023 and March 2026, respectively. The streaming provider is also working on an anime remake of “One Piece,” which is planned for February 2027.
