The streaming service Netflix today announced new details about the upcoming second “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” series. You can find a visual below.
From autumn 2026
According to current plans, “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II” will consist of ten episodes and will be released worldwide on Netflix in autumn 2026. A specific date is still pending. We will keep you updated about this as usual.
The Japanese studio TRIGGER is responsible for the production of the anime, which is being created in collaboration with the video game developer CD PROJEKT RED. Kai Ikarashi (animation director on the first series) is directing, while Bartosz Sztybor is again writing the script and producing.
The new series focuses on the characters Weak Kingsley (top), D (bottom left), Roman Carax (bottom middle) and Talia Yang (bottom right), who can already be seen in the visual. Further details are still pending.
The ten-part first anime series was released on Netflix on September 13, 2022 and was released by KSM Anime in various editions with a German language version and in the original sound with subtitles on Blu-ray.
