The streaming service Netflix is also expanding its anime offering July 2026 with new series, films and simulcasts. You can find out which new additions await you in the coming month in this article.
New anime in July 2026
The highlights include the series “The Bond of the Underworld”which from July 4, 2026 appears weekly on Saturday, as well as the simulcasts of “Sparks of Tomorrow” and “Thunder 3”which on 5. respectively July 8, 2026 start.
From then on July 11, 2026 is the special episode »One Piece: Heroines« and from then on July 13, 2026 the live-action film »Golden Kamuy: The Abashiri Prison Raid« available. In addition, »Akane banashi« and »One Piece: Elbaph Arc« continues with new episodes on Saturdays.

New additions in July 2026:
July 4th: “The Bond of the Underworld” (weekly)
“The Bond of the Underworld” starts on July 4, 2026 in the original Japanese language with subtitles and in various language versions Netflix. A new episode will then appear every Saturday.
Action:
In a remote mountain village, Yuru lives with his beloved twin sister Asa, the only family he has left.
While living a peaceful life, Asa is locked in a cage and performs a mysterious duty for the village. Why is she being held captive – and what dark secrets does the seemingly idyllic place hide?
July 5th: “Sparks of Tomorrow” (simulcast)
The anime adaptation of “Sparks of Tomorrow” celebrates on July 5, 2026 its premiere on Japanese television and will be broadcast at the same time Netflix shown in simulcast.
Action:
Kyoto in the summer of 1907: 15-year-old Inako Momokawa, daughter of a sake brewery, is constantly reprimanded by her strict father.
When he decides to marry her, she wants to escape her fate. Together with the unconventional Kihachi Sakamoto, she searches for the lost “Electricity Catalogue”, a mysterious book that could change her future.
July 8th: “Thunder 3” (Simulcast)
“Thunder 3” is running on July 8, 2026 on Japanese television and will be at Netflix released in simulcast with German subtitles.
Action:
Three ordinary students come into possession of a mysterious DVD that is supposed to open a portal to a parallel world.
But Pyontaro’s little sister Futaba accidentally falls through and is kidnapped by aliens who rule this earth. With their cartoonish bodies, the boys there become superhumans and start a dangerous rescue mission.
July 11th: “One Piece: Heroines”
»One Piece: Heroines« stands from that July 11, 2026 at Netflix available.
Action:
After a bad purchase leaves her with sore feet, Nami returns to the shoe store dissatisfied. There designer Lebno offers to make her a custom-made pair – on the condition that she becomes his model.
Together with the craftswoman Miucha, Nami begins an unexpected journey into the world of shoe design.
July 13: “Golden Kamuy: The Abashiri Prison Raid” (live action)
The live-action film »Golden Kamuy: The Abashiri Prison Raid« complements the catalog of Netflix from that July 13, 2026.
Action:
The Russian-Japanese war veteran Saichi Sugimoto, known as the “Immortal,” is looking for a new beginning in the gold rush on Hokkaido. When he learns of a hidden Ainu gold treasure, a dangerous hunt begins.
Together with the Ainu girl Asirpa, he has to assert himself in the icy wilderness against unscrupulous criminals and soldiers.
Saturday: »Akane-banashi« (weekly)
New episodes of »Akane banashi« will continue every Saturday with German and Japanese dubbing Netflix published.
Action:
Since childhood, Akane Ousaki has been fascinated by her father Shinta Arakawa’s rakugo performances. But she experiences a shocking incident during his decisive appearance for promotion to Shin’uchi.

Saturday: »One Piece: Elbaph Arc« (Simulcast)
Netflix sets the simulcast of »One Piece: Elbaph Arc« furthermore Saturdays at 12:00 p.m in the original Japanese dub with German subtitles. However, no new episode will appear on July 11, 2026.
