Known from “Your Name.”: Netflix is showing a concert film by the J-rock band RADWIMPS

The RADWIMPS are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a concert film that will be released worldwide on Netflix in a few days. The band is best known to anime fans for their music for several Makoto Shinkai films.

From June 19, 2026

The concert film »RADWIMPS 20th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR« will be available on Netflix from June 19, 2026. The recording was made on December 27, 2025 in the Ariake Arena in Tokyo and includes a total of 21 songs including an encore.

In addition to new tracks from the current album “Anew”, some iconic fan favorites that were specially selected for the tour were also played.

RADWIMPS has been one of Japan’s most successful rock bands for many years. The group gained international fame in particular through their collaboration with the renowned anime director Makoto Shinkai.

Known worldwide through anime

The soundtrack to the anime film “Your Name.” from 2016, to which the band contributed the four main songs as well as numerous instrumental pieces, was particularly formative. The making-of material of the release was also dedicated to the collaboration between Shinkai and RADWIMPS.

Musical contributions to “Weathering With You” and “Suzume” followed later, the latter soundtrack being created together with composer Kazuma Jinnouchi.

Appropriately, the concert recording also contains a medley of “Sparkle,” “Theme of Mitsuha” (both “Your Name.”) and “Grand Escape” (“Weathering with You”), which revisits the band’s anime connection.

A release on DVD and Blu-ray is also planned for August 12, 2026. The physical versions contain additional material, including performances by BUMP OF CHICKEN, Vaundy and ikura from YOASOBI.
