First “Naruto” series now available on Disney+


The streaming service Disney+ today added the anime adaptation of “Naruto” to its program. We summarize the details.

52 episodes available

The first 52 episodes of the 220-part first series of “Naruto” are now available on Disney+ in the German language version and in the original sound with German subtitles. It has not yet been revealed when further episodes will follow.

Studio Pierrot was responsible for the production of the action anime, which ran on Japanese television between October 2002 and February 2007, and was directed by Hayato Date (“Convenience Store Boy Friends”).

Publisher KSM Anime released “Naruto” and its sequels “Naruto Shippuden” and “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” on DVD and Blu-ray.

Naruto, an orphan boy from Konoha, carries the sealed nine-tailed fox spirit within him and is therefore avoided by many. Nevertheless, he is determined to pursue his goal of becoming Hokage. On his way to becoming a ninja, he overcomes tough tests, makes friends and experiences numerous dangerous adventures.
