In a few days peppermint anime will release the film »Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing« is available on Blu-ray. In keeping with this, the publisher released new images showing the design and extras of the limited edition.

»Colorful stage! The Movie« will be available from May 15, 2026 in a limited hardcover box with finishing. Due to licensing restrictions, this only includes the film in the original sound with subtitles. As an extra there is a 3D map, an acrylic stand, five art cards, a booklet and an audio commentary.
The PAWORKS studio was responsible for the production of the 105-minute film, with Hiroyuki Hata (“Journey to Bloom”) directing and Youko Yonaiyama (“mono”) writing the script.
The cinema premiere of the first film about the virtual idol Hatsune Miku took place on January 17, 2025 in Japan and on April 5, 2025 in Germany.

In a CD store, Ichika comes across an unknown song by Miku and briefly sees a mysterious version of her. A little later, Miku appears on her cell phone and reveals that her songs aren’t reaching people. Fascinated by Ichika’s music, she asks for help – and so their story begins.
