The voice actress Aoi Yuuki, who lends her voice to the protagonist Maomao from “The Apothecary Diaries,” recently expressed promise about the first film in the franchise at an event.
New story
She has already received a first insight into the completely new plot, which comes directly from the original author Natsu Hyuga and does not appear in the light novel, and described it as “Exactly what the fans of the series want”.
Of course, she didn’t want to reveal any specific details, but she hinted with a meaningful smile that there are some exciting developments ahead.
The first teaser already suggested that the story could take new directions. However, the film should not only convince in terms of content, but also set new visual accents, as it was specially designed for the big screen.
The Japanese theatrical release is planned for December 2026, while the two-part third season is scheduled to air from October 2026 (part 1) and April 2027 (part 2). The first two seasons are available on demand in this country on Crunchyroll. The first season starts in May 2026 on ProSieben MAXX.
