The VoD service Crunchyroll today announced new details about the streaming release of the film “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc”. We summarize.

The approximately 100-minute long sequel film will be available on demand from Crunchyroll from May 1, 2026 in the original Japanese audio with German subtitles and in various dubbed versions.

The MAPPA studio was responsible for the production of the film, which celebrated its premiere in Japan on September 19, 2025, and was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (“Wistoria”). In this country, the evening filler opened in cinemas in October 2025.
The previous twelve-part series has been in the Crunchyroll catalog for some time. Another sequel that adapts the “Assassins Arc” of the original manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto is in the works.
