GTA 6: an old Rockstar leak a key feature that is already panicking players

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues unabated. Since the release of its last trailer in May 2025, players have been scrutinizing for any information likely to say more about Rockstar Games’ next blockbuster. In this tense context, each leak, even small, takes on considerable proportions.

Latest example: the discovery of an old LinkedIn profile of a developer who worked on the game. This detail, quickly modified after being spotted, evokes technology capable of changing the way environments react to the player’s actions.

GTA 6 and its real-time breakable window system

According to information spotted, GTA 6 would integrate a procedural system of breakable windows. Concretely, this means that each impact on a glass surface would produce a unique result. Unlike GTA 5, where windows break according to predefined patterns, this new system would generate cracks and chips depending on several parameters: the force of the impact, the angle of impact or even the object used.

This type of technology would make it possible to obtain a much more natural rendering. A car window, a store window or a rear-view mirror would no longer react in the same way. Every interaction would become visually unpredictable.

A level of realism that could transform gameplay

This technical detail is not limited to a simple visual effect. It could have direct consequences on the way you play. In action phases, such as shootouts or chases, the damage suffered by vehicles and the environment would become more credible. Successive impacts on a windshield could progressively alter visibility.

During infiltrations or robberies, breaking a window would no longer be a trivial action. Each action could produce a different outcome, influencing how quiet or chaotic the situation is.

Rockstar Games faithful to its obsession with detail

This type of innovation is part of a well-known logic of the Rockstar Games studio. For several years, the series has relied on sometimes subtle but decisive details to reinforce immersion. Already, Red Dead Redemption 2 had marked players with its concern for realism, whether in terms of animations or interactions with the environment. GTA 6 seems to want to go even further.

Even if this information should be taken with caution, it corresponds perfectly to the philosophy of the studio, often considered a reference in terms of open worlds.

A leak to be taken with caution before official confirmation

Despite the enthusiasm generated, this information is not based on any official announcement from Rockstar Games. The LinkedIn profile at the origin of the discovery was modified shortly after it came to light, which calls for caution. Discussions on Reddit have also fueled speculation, with some players claiming to have spotted similar clues in the trailers.

In this context, it is difficult to distinguish the true from the false. One thing remains certain: the anticipation around GTA 6 is such that the smallest technical detail becomes a major subject.
