Publisher peppermint anime today announced new details about the disc release of the anime adaptation of “Banana Fish”. We summarize.
Release from August 2026
The first Blu-ray volume of “Banana Fish”, which contains the first twelve episodes in German and Japanese, is currently planned to be available from August 21, 2026 as a standard edition and as a limited edition with a collector’s slipcase.
The second volume with episodes 13 to 24 is expected to go on sale on November 6, 2026. Pre-ordering both volumes is now possible in the AKIBA PASS SHOP. The limited edition is also offered as a set with a 12% discount.
“Banana Fish” is based on the manga series of the same name by Akimi Yoshida, which is published in this country by Panini. The series ran on Japanese television from July to December 2018 and is available with subtitles on Prime Video.
