The Japanese media group KADOKAWA announced today that the manga series “JM” (Japanese: “J⇔M”) is getting an anime adaptation. There is a picture of the announcement below.

The anime adaptation is a series that will start on Japanese television at an as yet undisclosed date. The participants in the production have not yet been announced. We’ll keep you updated.
“JM” was written by “Hinamatsuri” author Masao Ootake and has been published in Enterbrain’s “Harta Alternative” magazine since May 2023. The publisher has so far released six volumes into Japanese stores.
The work is published digitally by Bookwalker Global in single-chapter format in English. A German-language release has not yet been announced.

The contract killer J was trained as an assassin by a syndicate as an orphan. When they want to eliminate him, he wipes out three syndicates and is henceforth considered untouchable.
However, due to an accident, he swaps bodies with elementary school student Megumi, who is being bullied. Now they both have to keep their new lives secret – and realize how difficult each other’s lives are.
