The development of Grand Theft Auto VI continues to fuel discussions in the video game industry. Every information regarding the next episode of the famous series from Rockstar Games immediately attracts the attention of players.

The major Rockstar Games hack in 2022

In 2022, Rockstar Games was the victim of a massive leak linked to a group of cybercriminals known as Lapsus$. This group had already distinguished itself by attacking several large technology companies, including Microsoft, Nvidia and Uber. The attack targeting Rockstar caused a spectacular leak of GTA 6 development videos. Excerpts of the game still in production then circulated massively on the Internet, revealing numerous elements of the gameplay.

the game’s release schedule does not appear to have changed. Rockstar Games still plans to launch Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game was initially scheduled to be released earlier, but several postponements were necessary in order to finalize the development of the project.

With its immense open world and its technical ambitions, GTA 6 is considered one of the most anticipated video games in history. While waiting for new official announcements, players remain attentive to any information regarding the future blockbuster from Rockstar Games.
