The publisher KSM Anime announced that the anime classic “Angel’s Egg” will be published in a limited collector’s edition. We summarize.
Release in May 2026
»Angel’s Egg« will be released in German stores on May 21, 2026 as a Collector’s Edition. This includes the film in a new Ultra HD restoration with German and Japanese language versions on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray. The extras are still open.
The DEEN studio was responsible for the production of the approximately 71-minute film, with Mamoru Oshii (“Ghost in the Shell”) directing and writing the script. Yoshitaka Amano created the character design.
The original film premiered in Japanese theaters on December 15, 1985. So far there has been no German-language publication.
