The action-RPG Disgaea Mayhem (Kyouran Makaism) will arrive in the West this summer on PC, PS5 and both Switches

The series changes perspective

This Disgaea Mayhemas it will be called here, was released last month in Japan, while NIS America confirmed nothing about a Western release. Which is quite common for the series, even today, as evidenced by the delay that Disgaea 7 Complete in France and elsewhere in the world. The spin-off should, however, arrive fairly quickly in our region, since its publisher confirms that Disgaea Mayhem is now planned for this summer, with no more precise date to give us at the moment.

Remember that this new, somewhat special episode will not adopt the gameplay of the previous games in the saga, since we are here facing an action-RPG where we will be able to freely control a warrior who will be able to change weapons to modify his fighting style. We will nevertheless find certain key elements of the series, if only through its artistic direction which remains quite similar (even if the technique is necessarily a little dated), as well as the grind aspect to level up and quickly become very powerful.

Disgaea Mayhem will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and both Nintendo Switch. A collector’s edition is also planned on the NIS America online store, priced at $99.99. It will contain the game, an artbook, the soundtrack, an acrylic stand, a key ring, all in a special box. Also note that the physical version of the game on Switch 2 will contain a Game-Key Card.
