PI for Hire misses the mark for the month of March and will finally be released on April 16

Deadlines that roll don’t amass Mouse

A bit more patience will be required for anyone who waits firmly MOUSE: PI for Hire. Particularly promising, especially in terms of its artistic direction steeped in 1930s cartoons, Fumi Games’ FPS will be released not in March but in April.

And in order not to leave us like that, the development team published a press release on Bluesky to explain themselves. As is often the case in this kind of situation, the title needs a little more tweaking to be released:

We have made the decision to push back the release date of MOUSE: PI for Hire to April 16, 2026. As we approach the final stages of development, we want to make sure we take the extra time and care necessary to make MOUSE: PI for Hire a memorable experience. We remain committed to our goal of delivering the best game possible to you, and that will take a few more weeks. We’re excited to show more about the game as we get closer to release. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your incredible support.

Hopefully this is enough to fix what needs to be fixed, knowing that these must of course be optimization issues, bugs and other late-development issues, to benefit from the most polished Day One experience possible.

MOUSE: PI for Hire is now scheduled for April 16 on PC (via Steam), PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
