My Night Job, a mansion infested with monsters to defend
Released in 2016, My Night Job is an indie action game that immerses players in a mansion overrun by creatures. The objective is clear: maintain the building long enough to rescue the survivors trapped inside.
The title claims direct inspiration from 80s horror films, with an assumed arcade dimension. The games are fast and the difficulty increases gradually. The arsenal includes over 60 different weapons, ranging from improvised items to more classic equipment. It is even possible to face the undead with your bare hands. Usually sold for $9.99, the game constitutes the action component of this weekly offer.
Boxes: Lost Fragments, the 3D puzzle that appeals to escape room enthusiasts
Total change of atmosphere with Boxes: Lost Fragments. This solo adventure and puzzle game adopts the structure of a 3D escape game. The principle is based on the progressive opening of complex mechanical boxes, manipulated piece by piece.
Released in February 2024, the title has over 1,500 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam and gets an average of 82 on OpenCritic. Usually offered at $14.99, it represents the greater financial value of the two games offered.
