Following the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, Konami withdraws the original episodes from sale

And without prior warning

Announced during the last State of Play, the compilation Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 will bring together two games hitherto difficult to access, namely Metal Gear Solid 4 And Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD. The fourth opus of the saga was only accessible via the PlayStation Store of the PS3, while the HD version of Peace Walker could still be obtained on PS3 and Xbox consoles (as well as on PSP for the base game). But that was before.

Without warning, Konami withdrew these titles from sale on these different platformsas some members of the ResetEra forum have noticed. This therefore follows the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2but the publisher did not see fit to warn of this withdrawal in advance, especially since this compilation will not be released before this summer.

In other words, apart from the boxed versions, it is no longer possible to obtain these games (unless you already have them), for several months. It’s even worse for those who play on old consoles and who will not be able to obtain this compilation (remember that it will not be released on Xbox One, while Peace Walker HD was available on this platform). A two-speed preservation of video games, which could have been managed better than that.
