After months of waiting and two successive postponements, Grand Theft Auto VI is back in the news with some good news. During its latest investor call, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that Rockstar’s flagship game will be released on November 19, 2026. This reminder was more than necessary after the concerns raised by the prolonged absence of official news. The tension had particularly increased in recent weeks, as the initially planned date seemed to slip away without comment from the publisher. Rockstar has decided to break this silence with a very specific schedule. According to Take-Two: “GTA 6 is on track for its November release. The official marketing campaign will begin this summer. »

A third trailer approaching

The other major announcement from this conference is the one long awaited: a third GTA 6 trailer is planned in the coming months, probably even before the summer kickoff of the marketing campaign. Fans are hoping for a launch as soon as May 2026although Rockstar has not yet given an exact date.

This trailer should reveal new gameplay elements, deepen the main characters – Jason and Lucia – and give a clearer overview of the revisited Vice City universe. It will also be an opportunity for Rockstar to demonstrate the technical advances promised for years thanks to its new generation RAGE engine.

Rockstar under pressure, but confident

The anticipation around GTA 6 is gigantic, undoubtedly one of the strongest in the history of video games. The publisher is therefore under pressure to deliver an experience that meets expectations. Every official information is scrutinized, and the simple fact of confirming a trailer is enough to trigger a wave of euphoria on social networks. As a specialist journalist on X (formerly Twitter) summarized: “The stress linked to a third delay of GTA 6 has just disappeared. We can finally breathe. » Rockstar seems ready to fire up its promotional machine, with massive campaigns expected on all platforms this summer.

A colossal launch in preparation

What looms for the summer of 2026 will be nothing ordinary. We are talking about a global marketing planwith trailers, tech demos, commercials, and maybe IRL events. The objective is clear: to make GTA 6 the biggest launch in video game history. The previous trailer had already exploded the counters on YouTube, reaching more than 93 million views in 24 hours. If the third follows the same trajectory, Rockstar could break its own records once again.
